Development in recent years

First Ljubljana Mini Maker Faire took place in 2017 between the buildings on Tobačna Street. It had over 30 exhibitors both outside and in indoor spaces provided by Circulation2. Round tables and lectures were held in the Poligon (a creative centre). The same place was also occupied by a DIY synthesis workshop prepared by Ljudmila. After the end of the event, visitors could enjoy a concert prepared by maker musicians.

Honorary sponsor of the event was the prime minister Miro Cerar. The main organizes was Zavod 404, with a support of other Fab Labs from all around Slovenia.

In 2018, we moved the event to the Republic Square, more precisely on to the platform before the entrance to the Cankarjev dom. Nearby park was transformed into Techno Park, where all workshops were concentrated in one location. Round tables, lectures and presentations of major projects took place at the NLB Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship. The topics focused on popular topics that are popular nowadays, but most people have no idea what they mean. In addition, three musical performances happened on the main stage.

This year we moved the event to the location of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, where we hope to stay for some time.
